About This Juice

This is one delicious and fulfilling juice that will surprise your taste buds and stomach. Most people after having their first Tomato Satisfaction usually say “it feels like I just ate a meal.” That is exactly what we were aiming for when coming up with this recipe, we wanted a juice that would fill you up and satisfy any hunger pang. This juice is especially nice for juice feasting, it is a great treat at the end of a long day of green juicing and cleansing.

Delicious Red Tomatoes

THE POWER OF LYCOPENE: This recipe calls for the use of tomatoes and this is great news. The reason why this is great news is because tomatoes are full of a powerful carotenoid and antioxidant that goes by the name of lycopene. Lycopene can be found in a variety of fruits and vegetables but the tomato has the highest concentrations of this amazing antioxidant. Lycopene is a powerhouse of an antioxidant too, boasting two to three times the antioxidant strength of beta-carotene. Lycopene is a cancer fighting biological warrior and the research shows it.

In 1995 a group of Harvard University researchers conducted a study to see if increasing the amounts of lycopene via the diet could reduce the risk of prostate cancer. The epidemiological study concluded that the men who ate at least 10 servings of tomato based foods per week drastically reduced their risk of disease by 45% and the rest of the men who had 4-7 servings lowered their risk by 20%. The researchers attribute the reduction in risk to lycopene and its antioxidant properties.

Basil is a Healthy Herb

HEALTHY HERBS: This recipe for the Tomato Satisfaction savory juice does not hold back when it comes to the herb ingredients: cilantro, curly parsley, basil and garlic are all representing. All these different herbs offer their own unique signature with regard to medicinal health benefits and they all complement each other offering substantial amounts of nutrients especially B vitamins. The array of B vitamins are very powerful and work even better in when complemented by other B vitamins.

Parsley is amazing for a number of reasons but what makes it unique is that is has a phytochemical called myristicin which is an amazing antioxidant. In fact myristicin has been tested in labs and shown to reduce lung tumors by 65% and stomach tumors by 31%.

Cilantro is another amazing herb that offers a wide range of vitamins and nutrients but what it is best known for is its ability to naturally chelate heavy metals. Basil is another beneficially potent herb in this juice.

Basil offers a unique flavor profile to the juice and medicinally speaking its volatile oils have wonderful anti-inflammatory qualities.

Lastly we have garlic. Garlic is amazing because this little “stinking rose” offers protection on four different fronts: antibiotic, anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-parasitic.
